Professional Women Make a Difference in Children’s Lives: 2008 Professional Women’s Exchange

Professional women from Central Florida networked, tasted wine and bid on artwork in support of A Place for Children on February 27, 2008, at the Taproom at Dubsdread.  The Central Florida Association for Women Lawyers (CFAWL) reinstituted the Professional Women’s Exchange (PWE), providing this unique networking opportunity and charity event for over 200 professional women, including attorneys, accountants, conflict resolution and public relations specialists, engineers, consultants, educators, financial planners and advisors, health care providers and other skilled professionals and women business owners.

Due to the overwhelming success of the event, CFAWL was able to present a check totaling $8,722.80 to the non profit organization, Children’s Home Society, at its March 7, 2008 luncheon.  The charitable donation was earmarked to benefit A Place for Children which is operated by Children’s Home Society.  A Place for Children is a childcare center located in the Orange County Courthouse where parents can safely leave their children to prevent them from witnessing uncomfortable situations in difficult legal matters such as divorce and domestic violence proceedings.

CFAWL is already planning its 2009 PWE, so be sure to keep an eye on our website for updates regarding this event!
